I'm. 23 year old girl and my fiancee lives in US,so he invited me and his uncle to come for 3 weeks and he stated on the letter that my uncle is coming to treat his glaucoma while me I'm just accompanying him,the interview was in Abuja, the interviewer was a male and he didn't request for any document,after asking for reasons of travelling and where we were gonna stay and I replied,he then typed a few things and said unfortunately he couldn't issue us Visa now that we should reapply and gave us a paper to read.Do I have any chances of getting the Visa if I had gone alone and told them I was going to visit my fiancee which our fiancee petition is still going on? Please enlighten me. I'm not happy at all.
I think you should reapply. Your uncle applied under the wrong category. If he is going for medical treatment a tourist visa is the wrong category to apply.

Totally ..you should have applied alone as visiting your fiancée...you would have had more chances of getting it as long as you have enough proof that he is your fiancée.am talking pictures ,phone records ,emails and all sorts..anything to prove that you know him and you have been together..
ReplyDeleteIf your fiancée is an American citizen, there is a special category you apply under and not B1/B2. You need to read a lot to choose the right category cos that's one of the main reasons they deny.
ReplyDeleteIf you are in doubt call the customer service number on the website and ask them. I think both you and your uncle applied under wrong categories
You can't apply for any type of visa and be granted because if you already have a petition been filed already, they expect you to wait.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how many times you reapply for non immigrant visa, they will not approve because of the petition been in place on your behalf already.
